Place pork roast in slow cooker. I've used a variety of sizes and cuts. Most of the time I'll use a picnic roast or butt roast.
Top with: 1 small bottle of salsa (I use homemade) 1 onion sliced Chili Powder (1-2 TBSP) Cinnamon (1-2 TBSP) Brown Sugar 1/2 Cup 1 can soda (Pepsi or Mountain Dew) Cook on low for 6-8 hours. When tender, shred roast and mix with sauces well Serve with: Tortillas Mexican Rice Cheese Sour Cream Hot Sauce Lettuce Black Beans Green Enchilada Sauce Guacamole Salsa Sauce: Mix together in small bowl and set aside
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar 1 tsp Mustard Dash of Tabasco 1 Cup Ketchup Meatloaf: 2/3 Cup Plain Oatmeal 1/2 Cup Milk (let oatmeal soak up milk before mixing) 2 lbs Hamburger 1 Egg 1/3 Cup Grated Onion 1 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Sage 1/2 tsp Pepper 1/2 Cup Ketchup 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper Mix together well and press flat in casserole pan (or 9x13 pan for thinner portions and faster cooking time.) Spread sauce on top. You may want to double the sauce if making a 9x13 pan. Bake @ 350* for 1 hour |
AuthorThe following are recipes that we use often. I don't want to create a food blog with a lot of photos. The purpose is simply to have easy online access to recipes we use in 1 place in case friends or family ask how to make something or we're shopping and need to verify ingredients. There are some recipes that are not complete with measurements as we tend to use the "little of this and a dash of that" method of cooking on a lot of foods. ArchivesCategories
