Grab your hooks and yarn, get comfy on your couch and join me for a beautiful Mystery CAL!
It's been a while since we've worked on a CAL together and even longer since we've worked a mystery one. It has also been a while since I released a new design for free on my blog so how about we combine all of that and get to work?
A few days ago, I asked on my Facebook page what type of afghan crochet pattern you would like to see for free. You left some good ideas and I'm going to try my best to design with each one. The first crochet stitch mentioned was cables. Ohhh, I love a good crochet cable design! Another friend mentioned they wanted something that would work up quickly so I chose a simple faux style cable stitch for this pattern that reminds me of a rope. If you want a peak at what that stitch will look like, check out the Stand Out Cable Chevron Afghan.
Another thing that was important to me is the ability to customize! I want you to be able to make any size you desire so that you'll be able to use this pattern over and over for many different occasions, family and friends. ***This post contains Affiliate Links through which I may receive a small commission for purchases at no extra cost to you*** With all of that in mind, I grabbed my hook, yarn and stitch chart program and set to work! I know that you're going to love this one as much as I do!!! Mystery CAL details
So, how will this Mystery CAL work you ask?
1. Choose your yarn This new design will work well with any 4ww yarn or smaller. It will be beautiful in a thread working 1 or 2 sections wide for a table runner. It will look so pretty in baby yarn for special baby shower gifts. It'll be stunning in a solid color as a full sized throw. You'll be able to easily customize this project to your desired size and project so I'll have yarn quantities available soon to help you grab the right amount. 2. Instruction info Don't be afraid of the word cable! I will have videos to help with stitch placement when needed. Photos will also be available if you learn better from photos. A Stitch chart will be included in the ad free pdf pattern that will be available in all my shops. 3. Easy enough?
I know many people are intimidated by the thought of working a blanket as a CAL so here's a thought that may help. If you don't have time to work a full blanket, consider a baby size or even just working the swatch size so that you can enjoy the stitches too. If you prefer working from an ad free PDF, you can purchase the pattern HERE on Ravelry for just $1 through January 31st. The price of the pdf will be adjusted to $3 on February 1st. I would LOVE to have you all join me for some crochet time and chat!
