Here's what you need to know:


Materials: (621, 736, 859, 993) yards Caron Simply Soft or similar 4ww yarn  

(2) 1” Buttons

Needle & Matching thread

3’ Ribbon ¼” - ½” wide

Hook: Size I 5.25mm                                                                        

Gauge: 14 hdc & 12 rows = 4”                           

Finished Size:  2T (3T, 4T, 5T)                                              

Skill Level: Easy                                                                                                                   

US Crochet Terms

Stitch Abbreviations: 

       yo - yarn over

       st(s) – stitch(es)     

       ch – chain 

       sl st – slip stitch 

       sc - single crochet

       hdc – half double crochet

       dc – double crochet

Shell: (2 hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc) in same stitch


5 Shell: 5 dc in same stitch


V-Stitch: (dc, ch 2, dc) in same stitch


Reverse sc: Working from left to right, insert hook from front to back in next st to the right, yo, pull and pull up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook


Single Crochet 2 Together (sc2tog): [Insert hook in next st, yo, pull up a loop]2x, yo, pull through all 3 loops on hook


Notes: 

  1. Beginning ch-2 is not counted or used as a stitch unless otherwise noted
  2. Beginning ch-4 is used as a Button Hole
  3. This dress is worked from the neck down
  4. Shells will always line up center with each  other
