Enchanted Garden Blanket Section 9 Free Crochet Pattern

Congratulations!  You've made it to the last section of the Enchanted Garden Blanket and you're so close to being able to snuggle up in your beautiful work.

This final section really is simple as we're mainly working sc, dc and chains.  For the final round, if you prefer not to use the flower petal's, I offer another option at the end of the pattern.

Here's what you'll need:
556-570 yards of yarn
4 stitch markers to mark corners

Stitch Abbreviations: 
       st(s) – stitch(es)         
       ch – chain 
       sl st – slip stitch 
       yo - yarn over
       sc - single crochet
      dc – double crochet

Round 66: With wrong side facing, attach yarn with a sl st to the first stitch to the left of  corner ch-2, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each st across to next corner (155 dc), (dc, ch 3, dc) around corner ch-2, *dc in each st across to next corner (156 dc), (dc, ch 3, dc) around corner ch-2,* repeat from *to* 2x, sl st to top of beginning ch-3 to connect   (158 dc per side)

Round 67: Turn, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in end st, chain 4, skip corner ch-3, *[dc in next 2 sts, ch 3, skip next 2 sts]39x, dc in end 2 sts, ch 4, skip corner ch-3,* repeat from *to* 2x, [dc in next 2 sts, ch 3, skip next 2  sts]39x, sl st to top of beginning ch-3 to connect, sl st in end dc

Round 68: Do not turn, ch 1, *(sc, ch 5, sc) around corner ch-4, ch 5, skip next 2 dc, [sc around next ch-3, ch 5, skip next 2 dc]39x,* repeat from *to* 3x, sl st to beginning sc to connect

Round 69: Turn, ch 1, sl st around first ch-5, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc around same ch-5, ch 3, [2 dc around next ch-5, ch 3]39x, *(2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) around corner  ch-5, ch 3, [2 dc around next ch-5, ch 3]40x, repeat from *to* 2x,  (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) around corner ch-5, ch 3, sl st to top of beginning ch-3 to connect

Round 70: Turn (right side facing), ch 1, sc around first ch-3, ch 5, skip next 2 dc, *(sc, ch 5, sc) around corner ch-3, [ch 5, skip next 2 dc, sc around next ch-3]41x, ch 5, repeat from *to* 2x, (sc, ch 5, sc) around corner ch-3, [ch 5, skip next 2 dc, sc around next ch-3]40x, ch 5, skip next 2 dc, sl st to beginning sc to connect

Round 71: Do not turn, ch 1, *4 sc around next ch-5, [(ch 3, dc, ch 3, sl st) in side of 4th sc]3x, 3 sc around same ch,* repeat from *to* around entire blanket, sl st to beginning ch-1 to connect  (172 flowers)

Notes:
1. If you decide you do NOT want the petal stitches on the outer edge of the blanket, you can simply work 7 sc around each chain around entire blanket, sl st to beginning st, fasten off and weave in ends. 

2. If you want the petals to be connected instead of free standing, when working the first ch-3 of the petal, sl st to the last ch-3 of the previous petal to connect.  At the end of the border, before working the final ch-3, sl st to the first ch-3 of the first petal to connect
