Enchanted Garden Blanket CAL Section 6 Free Crochet Pattern

Welcome to Section 6 of the Enchanted Garden Blanket CAL!  I'm excited to have you here with me again and hope that you'll enjoy working this section of the blanket with me.  

Section 6 will work an Arrowhead style stitch and is only 5 rounds of instructions so it should be a quick section again for most.  You will want to use stitch markers for this section to make sure that you're working the post stitches in the proper place.

Here's what you'll need:

170 Yards 4ww yarn 
4) Stitch Markers 

Stitch Abbreviations: 
       st(s) – stitch(es)         
       ch – chain 
       sl st – slip stitch 
       yo - yarn over
       yu - yarn under
       sc - single crochet

Notes: 

1. Place stitch markers around corner stitches as noted throughout to help keep track of corners
2. This blanket will need to be blocked
3. Instructions with *to* are to be worked once and then repeated the number of times indicated
4. Instructions with [..] are only worked the number of times indicated to the right of the bracket

Special Stitches:

dtr - double treble: Yo 3x, insert hook in indicated st, yo, pull up a loop, (yo, pull through 2 loops on hook)4x

fptr - Front Post treble crochet: Yo 2x, insert hook from front to back to front around indicated st, yo, pull up a loop, (yo, pull through 2 loops on hook)3x

Stitch Markers

With Laurel (170 yards)
Round 45: With right side facing, attach yarn with a sl st around any corner ch-2, ch 1, *sc in next 2 sts, place a stitch marker around sc just made (see P1 below), sc in each stitch across to next corner ch-2 (101), ch 3, skip next ch-2,* repeat from *to* 3x, sl st to beginning sc to connect

Round 46: Turn, *ch 4, skip next ch-3, sc in each st across to next corner ch-3 (103 sc),* repeat from *to* 3x, sl st in first chain of beginning ch-4 to connect

**Please note: The photos below were taken after future sections of this blanket had already been worked.  With a few people noting the yarn is to dark in the video to view  stitch placement, I quickly took some photos for reference.  The Tan section of stitches in the below photos are NOT section 5.  Please ignore those stitches and focus on the PINK stitches only for placement.**

Note: When working the FPtr’s for this round, be sure to keep them loose so they lay on top of the stitches of previous rounds.  If they’re to tight, they’ll make this section pucker.

Round 47: Turn, ch 1, *sc in next 6 sts, FPtr around marked sc two rounds below (see P2 below), skip next available st of previous round (see P3 below), [sc in next 2 sts of previous round, skip next 2 sts two rounds below (see P4 below), FPtr around next st 2 rounds below (see P5 below), skip next available st of previous round]31x, sc in end 3 sts, ch 5, skip next ch-4,* repeat from *to* 3x, sl st to beginning ch-1 to connect

Round 48: Turn, *ch 6, skip next ch-5, sc in each st across to next corner ch-6 (103),* repeat from *to* 3x, sl st to first chain of beginning ch-5 to connect

Round 49: Turn, ch 1, *sc in first 2 sts, skipping the first 6 sts two rounds below, dtr in first skipped st two rounds below (see P6 below), skip next available st of previous round, [sc in next 2 sts, dtr in next skipped st two rounds below, skip next available st of previous round]31x, sc in end 7 sts, ch 7, skip next ch-6,* repeat from *to* 3x, sl st to beginning sc to connect, fasten off

Gauge: 34.5” x 34.5”
